(1)[the last of the three ten-day periods of the hot season]∶夏天最熱的時(shí)期是三伏，即初伏、中伏和末伏，各占十天(中伏有時(shí)為二十天)。中伏之后十天是末伏
(2)[the first day of the last period of the hot season]∶上述末伏所占十天中的第一天也叫末伏，即立秋后第一個(gè)庚日

三伏的最后一伏。自夏至后第三庚日起，每十日為一伏，第三個(gè)十日稱(chēng)為「末伏」。
